Washington

My Summer ends in 5 days. I figured I should write something about it.

On July 12, I flew from Nashville to Seattle, Washington, where I was picked up by my Aunt Nancy and her friend Anna.

I spent 10 days on this trip and returned on July 22. It was definitely one of the coolest experiences I have had. Washington is a beautiful state. I learned that when my whole family went out there during Summer 2009, and I'm so glad I got to go back out there to spend some quality time with my extended family.

I got to meet my dad's cousin Sharon and most of her family while I was out there, and they were kind enough to let me spend a few days hanging out at their house. I greatly enjoyed the time I spent there, and I got to go mountain climbing for the first time with Miles.

Another activity I got to do for the first time was crabbing. I went with some friends of Aunt Nancy and Uncle Bob, and I had a great time. I took a lot of pictures.

The main highlight of my trip had to be the sailing. I think I'm becoming a sailing fanatic already.

I had the wonderful opportunity of helping crew a 37 foot sailboat called Skookumchuck during Whidbey Island Race Week 2010. It was a great experience, and I'm so glad I got to race for a few days.

All in all, I had a great trip to Washington. I hope I can go out there again next year and possibly compete in Whidbey Island Race Week 2011, Lord willing!
