Phantom/Updates

I've been listening to a lot of Phantom lately. When the mind starts going crazy inside, I find one of the best ways to calm it is to just listen to some soothing music, and there's not much more soothing than anything in Phantom/anything by Michael Crawford. I bought his recreated masterpieces from Phantom and Les Mis, along with some other great tracks. I haven't posted since Thanksgiving, so I guess I can say that his Christmas album (fittingly called, A Christmas Album) is one of the best I've ever heard, and his version of O Holy Night, produced by David Foster, might be the most beautiful song I've ever heard.

We went skiing for a few days up in Winterplace, WV, right after Christmas. The mountain wasn't too big or challenging, but it was good to get back out onto the slopes, and good to see D Wil out there for the first time since the storm. Shortly after that, the family and Kristen Lee went down to Tampa for 4 or 5 days to see my mom's side of the family. It was really good to see some relatives that I hadn't seen in many years. The highlight of my trip was definitely going to see a Lightning game live. They won 19 seconds into overtime on a Nate Thompson goal, and the game was a lot of fun. I'm looking forward to going back down there over Spring Break with UU.

Finally figured out my schedule for this next semester:

Calculus 3- 4 credits
Transition Mathematics- 3 credits
Written Composition 2- 3 credits
History- 3 credits
New Testament Survey- 3 credits

With one more hour than last semester and seemingly much more difficult classes, I'm hoping to cut back on the free time this semester. Lots of sitting around was fun for a few weeks but eventually got old. I also need to start thinking about possible jobs/trips this summer. Going out to Washington again would be the best, but we'll see if that all works out.

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, to all you who even read this. It's been a weird couple of months. Nothing has really gone wrong, but my mind has been in a different universe since about mid-November to early December. December was a really rough month, despite it being the holidays and not having classes. Everything continues to be fine, but my mind is just spinning and spinning with thoughts about the future and what that's gonna look like. I have a lot of big decisions to make, and I'm hoping to be able to make most of them in this next semester. I like Union a lot, but I'm not sure it is where I'm supposed to be for 4 years. Hopefully I'll start enjoying it more and find out whether or not it's the place for me.

I'll start posting more often again, I promise. I even recently found out that I have some new readers; it's always good to add to that short list! (Cue Linsey, you're welcome for posting this.)
